On the nutrition label, it has always stated that there are 8 servings (strips)in the package. Once I found 14 discrete slices!

It still smells and tastes good. But it doesn't crisp the same way as bacon. And it certainly isn't as flavorful. But it's still one of the healthiest turkey bacons on the market when you look at the few ingredients. And Trader Joe's turkey bacon is uncured and doesn't have any nitrites. The price of $3.49 for 8 oz is actually more.

I had heard turkey bacon has more calories and is not all that great nutritionally. Saw it discussed on a talk show and even the host (oprah) was surprised because she was a proponent of turkey bacon. and yes, there are a few things that tj's puts out that isn't all that.. just ask the employees- they'll be truthful.

Bacon is wonderful, bacon is divine manna, and bacon has been done to death. The bacon fad (or "baconmania"), which is still ongoing as of this writing, may have died down from it's bacon salt and DIY bacon vodka.
