One Pot Cheesy Kielbasa, Broccoli, and Rice Served From Scratch

Place a pot of water on to boil at the start. Boil the frozen pierogies according to box directions, while frying kielbasa, peppers and onions. Put a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the sliced kielbasa. Scoop out the browned sausage into a bowl and set aside. Leave the fat and oil in the skillet.

Prepare oven and pan. Preheat oven and coat a 2 quart casserole dish or glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Sauté pierogies. In a large, heavy bottom skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Instructions. Combine three cups of chicken broth, frozen pierogies, cheddar cheese and kielbasa in a 4-6 quart crock pot. Cook on high 3-4 hours, or on low for 6 hours. About thirty minutes before serving, warm up cream cheese with remaining one cup of the chicken broth in microwave until the cream cheese is warm.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice kielbasa into bite-sized pieces then sauté in oil over medium-high heat until browned. Remove kielbasa with a slotted spoon to add to casserole later. Add onion to the hot oil and pan drippings, then sauté for 5 minutes. Add butter and garlic then continue cooking for 2 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9 x 13" casserole pan with cooking spray. Place the pierogis and sliced sausages into the casserole pan. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, pepper, and half of the green onions in a medium mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the top of the pierogies and sausage.

Drain the sauerkraut, reserving the liquid. Pre-heat a large 12-inch oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and brown the Kielbasa sausage slices on both sides. Remove the browned sausage from the pan and set aside. Add the onion to the skillet and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Instructions. Place the frozen pierogies, kielbasa, 3 cups of chicken broth, salt and pepper into a 6 or 7-quart slow cooker. Stir to combine. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-7 hours. About 30 minutes before the cook time is up, place the cream cheese, ½ cup of chicken broth, and sour cream in a saucepan.
