Sus circunstancias históricas y vitales (formó parte de una familia judía alemana y conoció ambas guerras mundiales) llevaron a la fotógrafa Ilse Bing a residir en Berlín, París y Nueva York en los periodos en que cada una de estas urbes vivía su.
